Short Courses

Short courses are courses provided by IT to help faculty, staff and students improve their skills relative to software which commonly occurs in the campus environment. A trainer will briefly explain the main topics and provide attendees with a detailed walk through to demonstrate key concepts. To find out the types of classes usually offered visit the Short Course Catalog. Once an area of interest has been identified, you may register for the Short Course. (A Single Sign-on User ID is required in order to register. e.g. 'joeminer' )

Education Technology (EdTech)

In collaboration with The Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI), a new support center will be unveiled in the Fall Semester 2007. The Educational Technology group within IT (EdTech) will provide comprehensive support for faculty to leverage new and existing technologies for the enhancement of learning outcomes as well as the overall student experience.

An Instructional Design Specialist and an Education Technology Specialist will be available for individual consultation as well as group development sessions. In addition, the EdTech Web site will provide online tutorials and self-help documents on topics such as Blackboard, SmartBoards, Personal Response Systems, projectors and more.
